Greenport Wines & Spirits

RDA’s Identity, Signage and On-Screen Campaign for Greenport’s oldest Wines & Spirits Store pays homage to the village’s history as a hotspot for rumrunning and bootlegging

In the old fishing village of Greenport on Long Island’s North Fork, prohibition never had a chance. Thanks to its deep water harbor and maritime tradition, it possessed all the qualities necessary to evade the long arm of the 18th Amendment and its enforcers.

Our design is inspired by the aesthetics and commercial typography of the 19020s — which vividly comes to life in the on-screen campaign’s anonymous model and her leg-hugging flask of hooch.
